Quantico Grade A Moso Timber: The Curing Process
At Quantico, our curing process transforms raw bamboo into permanent structural timber. Every unit that leaves our factory is a product of these four rigorous phases:
Phase 1: Internal Node Breach ("The Spear")
Every culm is internally "speared" to breach the nodal membranes. This allows our mineral solution to flow through the entire length of the culm, ensuring the timber is treated from the inside out, not just on the surface.
Phase 2: The Two-Week Deep Immersion (Mineralization)
We do not use "quick dips." Every pole undergoes a 14-day full submersion in a high-concentration Solubor solution. In the Alabama Spring/Summer heat, this extended window ensures total cellular mineralization that standard 48-hour treatments cannot match.
Phase 3: Spring-Heat Stabilization
Our timber is cured in ambient temperatures (80°F+) on horizontal 4-point stabilization bunks. This natural heat accelerates the mineralization process, while our horizontal racks guarantee a zero-bowing, Refined Grade A geometry.
Phase 4: Certified Borate Bloom
The "Bloom" is our visual proof of quality. As moisture evaporates in the spring sun, the Borate minerals crystallize on the surface. This visual "frost" confirms the timber is fully saturated and protected against rot, mold, and wood-boring pests for decades.
